JRS: Walking with Refugees for 40 Years

November 14 marks the date that Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ, 28th Superior General of the Society of Jesus, founded the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in 1980. Join JRS/USA as they recognize 40 years of service to refugees with the national virtual event “40 Years of Walking with Refugees” on Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 5-6 PM Central.

Jesuit Refugee Service/USA

The mission of Jesuit Refugee Service/USA is to accompany, serve, and advocate for the rights of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons.

A Journey into Exile

This simulation exercise allows participants to experience what a refugee goes through when he must flee his country. Obviously, it is impossible to really know what a refugee experiences until we actually become one.
