Nineteen Jesuit novices in the United States, Canada and Haiti pronounced first vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in August 2022.
Fr. Andrew Rodriguez, SJ, pronounced final vows in the Society of Jesus and became the director of novices for Jesuits West on July 31, 2022.

With great joy and gratitude, the Jesuits welcomed this summer thirteen new novices who entered the Society of Jesus; five in Canada and eight in Haiti. The novices have just completed their first period of probation. We thank God for the great blessing of their vocation to the Society.
Once a year the Society of Jesus invites men, ages 18-39 to come and spend a weekend in the Jesuit novitiate itself.
Over the weekend of Aug. 9-11, 2019, the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province celebrated the arrival of five new novices, the first vows of 12 novices and the Jubilee anniversaries of several senior Jesuits.
Six Jesuits West novices pronounced first vows of poverty, chastity and obedience on August 10 at Loyola Marymount University’s Sacred Heart Chapel in Los Angeles.
