Story

July 31, 2019 – Today is the feast St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. In honor of his feast, Fr. Vinny Marchionni, SJ, created a video reflection on St. Ignatius, specifically in his role as a pilgrim. Fr. Marchionni calls him, “someone for whom the future might have been scary but who nonetheless sensed the presence of God in all things.” Fr. Marchionni was one of the five Jesuits ordained on June 8 by Cardinal Joseph Tobin, Archbishop of Newark. He is currently serving at Our Lady of Mount Carmel + Saint Benedicta + Saint Mary of the Assumption in Staten Island, NY, and in September he will move to Parras de la Fuente, Mexico to serve at the Jesuit parish of Santa Maria de las Parras.
