Oct. 24, 2018 – The presidents of the USA Northeast Province high schools hosted a dinner on Oct. 5 to express gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Meg Florentine, who completed her service as provincial assistant for secondary education.

Meg spent nearly 25 years in teaching and administration at Boston College High School before joining the province staff, first in the New England in 2003 and, later, in the Northeast Province following its inception in 2014. She has served on numerous boards and held leadership roles with the Jesuit Schools Network (JSN) and the former Jesuit Secondary Education Association (JSEA).

In a letter to province staff, Fr. John Cecero, SJ, provincial of the USA Northeast Province, acknowledged the national impact of Meg’s work and her enduring contribution to the mission of Jesuit education.

“Meg has always focused on the formational value of Jesuit education for our students and alumni,” Fr. Cecero said. “Her care has also extended to formation of boards and faculty members, and throughout her years of service, school leaders have relied on her insight and wisdom as they sought to develop men and women for and with others.”
