News Story

Join Fr. Provincial Tom Greene on a pilgrimage across the Jesuits USA Central and Southern Province. The first pilgrimage stop is on Thursday, Aug. 12 in Grand Coteau, La. Those who cannot join in person can be a part of the event via Zoom and/or YouTube. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. CDT and will last approximately two hours.

Over the course of the next year, Fr. Greene will visit main cities of our province that are home to province apostolates. In each location, Jesuits and companions will gather to celebrate the Eucharist, listen to a presentation and have small-group spiritual conversations. Each event will be streamed live on Zoom and will last about two hours.

Grand Coteau is home to the province novitiate, a parish, a parish school, a retreat house and a spirituality center. It’s also home to a large number of Jesuits, including some of our senior or infirm Jesuits.

As Superior General Arturo Sosa has dedicated the Ignatian Year for the grace of conversion, tracing the footprints of God in our province provides us an opportunity to celebrate what we have done well, as well as what continues to challenge us. The grace of this pilgrimage will be part of the discernment process for us moving forward with our apostolic plan. Please join us for an evening of grace and companionship.

Join us on Thursday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m. CDT at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86745724559.
