September 18, 2019 — Interested in Ignatian spirituality or curious to know more about the Jesuits? Come and meet them! Several events are being organized this fall throughout Canada. You will be able to grab a beer, hear personal stories, pray, contemplate, receive spiritual guidance or simply ask questions to Jesuits. These meetings can help you learn practical insights for personal and spiritual development.

Craft Beer Tasting Night with the Jesuits, Vancouver (October 19)

Mix and mingle with 8 young Jesuits at this-one-of-kind craft beer tasting event. Food provided; questions encouraged. For men ages 19-39 who like craft beer and faith. First beer is on us. Food menu available.

Discernment According to Ignatius of Loyola, Vancouver (October 25)

The Newman Association at the University of British Columbia is sponsoring a special talk by Fr. John O’Brien, SJ on discovering God’s will in daily life and for a lifetime. With good food and drink.

For men considering a vocation to ministry in Church, especially anyone considering the Jesuit way of life as a possible vocation. This weekend is for you.

Discernment Retreat, Midland (December 13-15)

If you are considering a vocation in the Church and would like to explore the Jesuit option, this annual discernment weekend is an ideal way to deepen your spiritual life and hear more about God’s direction for you. At the Shrine, we will pray with the story of the Jesuits Martyrs — St. Jean de Brebeuf and his companions.

Jesuits at RiseUp, Toronto (December 28 – January 1)

The largest annual gathering of Catholic university students in Canada is taking place in Toronto this year — more than 1000 enthusiastic young people. Several Jesuits will be on-site for the entire conference. Look for the red table, and get connected. We’ll have plenty of time to talk.
