Bells rang joyfully across the campus of Saint Louis University (SLU) on Easter Monday, April 10, as SLU’s Catholic Studies Center hosted a Eucharistic Procession.
The evening began with Mass, attended by more than 200 people. Catholic Studies Director Fr. Matthew Baugh, SJ, presided, with priests and seminarians from the Jesuits, the Dominicans and Kenrick-Glennon Seminary acting as servers and concelebrants.
In addition to Mass and the silent procession, another highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “Campion Award” from the Catholic Studies Center to Village Lights, a Catholic Worship Collective based in Nashville, Tenn. and San Antonio. Sarah Kroger and Ricky Vazquez from Village Lights accepted the award and played an outdoor concert on the campus.
The weather cooperated, allowing for a successful evening of community, fellowship and prayer.
The event was co-hosted by the Archdiocese of Saint Louis’ Office of Young Adult Ministry and the Office for the Eucharistic Revival.
